Linda Stewart is a photographer specializing in wedding and portraits. She wanted her website to be her main marketing avenue to display her works and generate new business.
Within a week of going live with her new web site she booked a wedding. She was contacted by someone who had seen her new web site.
In designing Linda's web site it was important to keep the overall design simple so as not to take away from her photography.
The Home page uses Javascript to create a looping slide show with four photographs that fade from one to another.
The Weddings page, the Portfolio pages and the Featured Work page all use Javascript to display the appropriate image when a visitor clicks on the numbered button at the bottom of the page. All photos are pre-loaded so the visitor does not have to wait for the image to appear.
Linda is delighted to have the ability to change out her photographs whenever she wants. She simply selects the photographs she wants to display online, makes any edits to them and resizes them. She uploads the new pictures using FTP. In a matter of moments she has changed any or all photographs on her site herself. She enjoys having more control over her site.
Linda also takes advantage of her professional Email address to have inquiries sent directly to her from the form on the Contact Us page. Visitors simply fill out the requested information and click on the 'Submit Email' button at the bottom of the form.
